A company based in Cincinnati, Ohio is currently seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to collaborate closely with leadership and Automation Engineer III. This role involves assisting in defining and enhancing the automation design and its implementation for the test automation framework, standards, guidelines, and providing support and guidance to peers and less experienced Automation Engineers.
The SDET position encompasses both User Interface (UI) Automation and API test automation elements. This role is pivotal in maintaining the quality and sustainability of the Test Automation Standards and Guidelines.
Position Responsibilities:
- Actively involved in developing Functional Test Automation scripts for UI and API testing.
- Play a key role in leading test automation projects, contributing to the design and creation of robust, scalable, and efficient scripts utilizing automation testing tools like Selenium, JUnit/TestNG, Git, Maven, and IntelliJ; Programming languages such as Java, .NET, C#, among others.
- Contribute to enhancing the API and UI test automation framework by recognizing areas for improvement and streamlining processes.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve testing efficiency, process quality, and integrate innovative solutions as part of ongoing testing in the software delivery pipeline.
- Collaborate with teams of both automation and non-automation Software Quality professionals, as well as other essential stakeholders including development, business analysis, and project management teams.

Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in software test engineering.
- At least 3 years of practical experience with Selenium (Test Automation Framework).
- 2 years or more of hands-on programming experience in Java.
- 2 years or more of practical experience in UI Path and API Testing (ReadyAPI, SOAPUI, Postman).
- 1 year or more of database testing experience utilizing SQL for data retrieval and manipulation.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience in C#/.NET programming is a plus.
