Join us as a Patient Service Center (PSC) Site Coordinator at LabCorp. This role involves overseeing and coordinating activities at Patient Service Centers within a designated area. The PSC Coordinator collaborates with PSC staff, management, laboratory staff, and clients to ensure smooth operations at the Patient Service Center. Besides coordination responsibilities, the role also includes performing phlebotomy and specimen processing procedures with minimal supervision.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Observe and report any performance, compliance, or staffing issues to supervisors
- Manage patient flow, wait times, inventory levels, and information logs
- Monitor monthly productivity reports and address any deviations as needed
- Handle customer service issues promptly and respectfully
- Foster teamwork, cohesiveness, and effective communication among coworkers
- Conduct blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques across all age groups
- Collect specimens for various tests like drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry of patient information
- Process billing information and handle payments when necessary
- Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Perform necessary administrative and clerical duties
- Travel to additional sites as required
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist
- Previous experience in a leadership role is advantageous
- Preferred phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency
- Profound understanding of phlebotomy duties, responsibilities, and techniques
- Proven history of delivering exceptional customer service
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team setting
- Comfortable working with minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation and a clean driving record if applicable
- Flexibility to work overtime when necessary
- Successful completion of a standardized color blindness test
Schedule: Monday through Friday, flexible hours between 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, with potential rotating Saturdays
