Principal Responsibilities:

As a crucial element of the JEA maintenance crew, this role entails offering vital maintenance backing to the Jewish Educational Alliance.

Specific duties comprise (but are not limited to) the following:
  • Responsible for preparing daily setups for events and programs within the premises.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the building and grounds while upholding safety standards for all campers and staff.
  • Responsible for the upkeep of bathrooms, shower/locker rooms, gym, hallways, etc.
  • Dispose of garbage from both interior and exterior of the building.
  • Secure all program equipment at the end of each shift.
  • Assist in minor repair projects around the building.
  • Provide support to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

PREFERRED requirements include:
Exhibited light maintenance and janitorial skills, familiarity with hand and power tools, adeptness in handling frequent interruptions, ability to recognize safety hazards and respond appropriately, proficiency in executing daily cleaning procedures, commitment to tasks completion at the highest standards, capacity and willingness to work both independently and collaboratively, good communication skills (written and oral), display of initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership, utilization of environmental knowledge to achieve goals, positive attitude towards working in a non-profit environment, ability to prioritize, multitask, work independently, and adapt to flexible hours.
