RESPONSIBILITIES (Tailored to each Care Plan)

  • Providing companionship and engaging in conversation;
  • Assisting with Activities of Daily Living such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and bathroom needs;
  • Performing light housekeeping duties like laundry and changing linens;
  • Setting out clothes and aiding in dressing;
  • Planning and preparing simple meals;
  • Administering medication reminders;
  • Offering transportation to and from appointments as outlined in the care plan.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to treat clients with dignity and respect;
  • Positive demeanor and empathy towards others;
  • Capacity to understand and follow the client's care plan;
  • A valid driver's license and access to transportation if specified in the care plan;
  • Flexibility to adapt to new circumstances;
  • Tolerance for small pets (e.g., dogs and/or cats) if included in the care plan (you can opt not to work with pets);
  • Availability by phone or text for shift schedules, client updates, and emergencies;
  • Capability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds;
  • Prior experience with dementia patients and elderly care is beneficial.
