Job Overview

Razorfish is searching for a temporary Director of Data Science and Analytics to join our Data Science and Analytics team until the end of 2024. You'll be part of a specialized analytics and consulting team that provides data-driven insights to our clients' strategic marketing efforts. Your role will be aligned with a specific client, collaborating closely with other Data Science team members, clients, and colleagues from various disciplines like Client Management, Media, Strategy, User Experience, and Technology.

In this capacity, you will be responsible for managing the client's data comprehensively and acting as the data science partner for our client teams. Directors are tasked with delivering data-focused strategic marketing insights, with guidance from senior team members during high-level meetings. It's expected that Directors oversee their projects, clearly define deliverables, and adhere to project timelines.

Key areas of focus for this role encompass customer and retail analytics, as well as in-depth integrated CRM analytics covering various channels such as Web, App, Push, SMS, Email, and Social media.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic measurement plans and learning agendas
  • Supervise the execution of data strategies to ensure achievement of measurement goals, effective capture of KPIs, and accuracy of data quality
  • Understand the requirements and applications of advanced analytical methods, collaborating with Data Science, Engineering, and Instrumentation experts to ensure the correct planning and execution of projects
  • Incorporate statistical concepts into relevant projects and leverage advanced analytics resources or techniques when necessary
  • Offer insights into the long-term implications of findings and recommendations across multiple channels
  • Lead cross-capability projects with other teams like account and product management to integrate data capabilities into the overall strategy
  • Demonstrate thought leadership by introducing new and innovative methods to enhance clients' marketing objectives, data sophistication, and maturity
  • Guide strategy and issue resolution by identifying key priorities and objectives for alignment and acceptance
  • Assist clients in recognizing long-term opportunities, staying informed about industry trends, and proposing projects based on these trends
  • Act as a crucial client partner, understanding client strategies, and appropriately addressing client needs and feedback

Qualifications

  • Over 10 years of experience in Marketing Analytics, Digital Marketing, or a business-related field
  • Strong critical thinking abilities, proactive in questioning conventions and advocating for enhancements
  • Demonstrated expertise in advertising technology, marketing technology, and data tools across various channels
  • Proficient in independently organizing and preparing well-written documents, as well as guiding the team in doing the same
  • Able to summarize complex analytical methodologies and findings clearly and succinctly

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in the analytics components of one or more marketing or media platforms such as Adobe, Google, or Salesforce
  • Experience in Data Visualization using tools like Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Data Studio, or similar software
  • Comfortable working with one or more programming languages (e.g., R, Python, or SQL) within a data cloud environment or with a detailed dataset for purposes like data mining, advanced analysis, modeling, etc.
  • Familiarity with CRM analytics covering Web, App, Push, SMS, Email, Social media, among others

Compensation Range: $62-105/hr. The stated pay range is the estimated compensation for this position at the time of posting.
