REQUIREMENTS/

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in behavioral health/relatedField OR Bachelor's Degree in a related field with pending Master's Degree in behavioral health. required. Master's Degree in behavioral health or related field preferred.
At least two years clinical experience specifically with chemically dependent / dually diagnosed population preferred.
CPR / CPI (Offered at facility).Certification, or willingness to pursue certification as a SubstanceAbuse Counselor preferred.
Licensed Professional Counselor preferred. Current driver's license
  • Good DMV record.
Knowledge of 12-step recovery programs.
Ability to work with male/female, adult (18-over) substance abuse/dually diagnosed/opiate dependent population.
Must be able to work with culturally diverse populations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary responsibility for assigned caseload.

Prepares treatment plan for each patientConducts weekly treatment plan reviews and updatesProvides individual and group therapy and documents progressDevelops and presents didactic material to patientsLiaison between referral sources, insurance companies and patientsConducts family interviewsand provides for referralsProvides crisis intervention to patientsAssists with aftercare planningAssists in training of new clinical staffParticipates on the interdisciplinary treatment team.
