  • Directs and handles all activities associated with selecting, maintaining, and retiring intermodal lift equipment for a region supporting safe, efficient, economical and reliable equipment to support intermodal operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establishes and oversees intermodal assets maintenance policies and compliance system wide
  • Supports and enhances equipment reliability and availability
  • Oversees maintenance contract adherence
  • Provides technical expertise for rapid equipment service recovery
  • Develops alternative component options
  • Manages expense budgets
  • Communicates with internal and external stakeholders
  • Builds working relationships with maintenance teams
  • Conducts terminal audits and machine inspections
  • Available seven days a week for emergencies and travels frequently for troubleshooting

Experience Level: 3-5 years minimum, 6-10 years preferred

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Skills and Abilities:
  • Thorough knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical, and electrical systems
  • Understanding of industrial control systems and technical schematics
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency in diesel engines and maintenance planning
  • Leadership, time management, planning, and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
