The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of Esri solutions with hands-on experience. Further, they will be comfortable building SAM product offerings with an Esri mindset. This person should be a highly skilled market analyst, geospatial industry experience, and with a proven ability to strategize the full lifecycle of a product from conception to release. Role Objectives

  • Drive the product- and business-planning processes for the product line(s)
  • Ability to project management and drive success in project delivery
  • Analzye competitive landscape such that the candidate can combine SAM and Esri tools and solutions into innovative and impactful ArcGIS platform-based strategies
  • Analyze product requirements and develop appropriate programs to meet client needs
  • Assist in defining best practices for deployment of Esri platform and SAM/Esri integration
  • Drive high level engagement in the Esri ecosystem, grow current and build new relationships at Esri
  • Analyze client needs, current market trends, and potential Esri opportunities for market advantage
  • Assess current competitor offerings and seek opportunities for differentiation, including both large and small GIS solution providers
  • Develop, implement, and maintain production timelines
  • Appraise new product ideas and strategize appropriate go-to-market plans

Responsibilities

  • Drive the execution of all processes in the product lifecycle, including product and market research, competitor analysis, planning, positioning, requirements and roadmap development, and product launch
  • Recommend relevant strategies, architectures, and solutions and work with customers to prepare Esri software implementation and migration strategies
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for pilot and final development by engineering teams
  • Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI
  • Collaborate closely with multiple SAM departments in the release of products, and balance resources to ensure success for the entire organization
  • Act as a lead, and empower the team by strategically leading all stages of the implementation process through mentoring, active coaching, review and aligning of budgets and portfolios, risk management and personnel management efforts.
What You Bring to SAM:
  • 5+ years of professional experience in GIS platofrm architecture and solution design
  • Strong experience in a dynamic product management role
  • Hand-on experience with Esri software
  • In-depth knowledge of Esri products
  • Preferred experience with other enterprise systems
  • Proven success in overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle
  • High effectiveness in managing cross-functional teams
