Job Description


The Senior Manager - Economic Sanctions at RBC supports the US Economic Sanctions Program by providing expertise on clients, products, securities, and sanctions regulatory risk from a US perspective. This position reports to the Global Economic Sanctions team in Toronto and supports RBC's Combined U.S. Operations.



What will you do?


  • Provide oversight of sanctions-related controls and processes.
  • Collaborate with various business partners to provide direction on the firm's sanction program.
  • Lead the execution of the annual sanctions inherent risk assessment for U.S. Wealth Management.
  • Assess sanctions risk for products, services, clients, and counterparties.
  • Assist in handling and reporting of sanctions matters.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the Global Economic Sanctions program, among other responsibilities.


What do you need to succeed?


  • Must-have: Bachelor's Degree, 7+ years of experience in financial services.

Nice-to-have: Understanding of financial crimes, interest in geopolitical developments, Python coding, experience in Wealth Management and Capital Markets.
