SUMMARY
The Director of IT Data and Development leads the development efforts for the organization's system and application integration projects.

While some internal and client facing applications are developed, software development at First Interstate Bank most often consists of system and application integration.

This includes participating in the defining and maintaining of the organizational integration and information architecture, management of Quality Assurance teams and the responsibility of the Digital Banking Environment, including CRM.

In addition, the Director of IT Data and Development is responsible for defining best practices and mentoring more junior resources.

This position reports to the CIO.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensures strict adherence to FIB's Software Development Lifecycle, code reviews, version control, segregation of duties, and Change Control processes.
Facilitates the production release of new functionality and provides support of production issues.

Supports application testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolution activities by correcting programming errors, responding to scope changes, and coding application enhancements.

Participates and leads formal design and code reviews as needed.
Collaborates with third parties as needed for joint Development activities.

Collaborates with Project Stakeholders, Senior Leadership, and the Project Management office in a manner that ensures efficient communication while meeting the needs of the business.

Personnel Management responsibilities for a department that includes Managers and/or Team Leaders and experienced professionals.
Ownership of short to mid-term (1-3 years) execution of functional strategy and the operational direction of the department.
