Position Summary:


We are looking for an experienced Manager, Warehouse Operations to oversee multiple warehouse locations across a large geographic area in Virginia.

Some of which are currently operating, and others will be opening soon. Responsibilities will include managing operations, standardizing processes and inventory across multiple locations while ensuring safe working conditions. This individual will work closely with the procurement team, analysts as well as outside contractors. We are looking for a teammate that is driven, takes initiative and is self-motivated.

Manager, Warehouse Operations critical responsibilities

  • Standardize operating procedures to organize and perform activities across multiple warehouse locations and laydown yards.
  • Ensure proper safety and standard operating procedures are being followed.
  • Oversee and complete regular cycle counts and ensure all documentation is accurate.
  • Make recommendations regarding proper storage, inventory, and improvements in warehouse efficiency.
  • Ability to review inventory data for accuracy and provide root cause analysis for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee all yearend physical inventory counts for multiple warehouses.
  • Work with Team Leaders to oversee employees job performance, including attendance monitoring and productivity.
  • Develop and track warehouse KPIs.
  • Assist with new warehouse build outs by working cross functionally with stakeholders.
  • Responsible for overseeing and traveling to multiple locations regularly to ensure consistency in warehouse management.
  • Local travel will be approximately 30%, and will vary on build schedule
  • Occasional overnight stays will be required
  • Ensure safe working conditions and train new hires on proper safety standards.
  • Collaborate with Safety & Facilities Management to ensure that facility equipment is properly maintained.
  • High School diploma required.
  • Previous forklift experience/ certification is required.
  • 5 + years of multiple warehouse management experience.
  • Proven experience developing standard warehouse operating procedures.
  • Experience building out warehouses preferred.
  • Ability to travel locally on a regular basis.
  • Experience with Excel and various warehouse software systems.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and timemanagement.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency and take initiative.
  • Prior experience working independently and proven leadership skills.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to pass preemployment drug screening and background check.
