Job Description

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Manager of Enterprise Applications Support to lead a team of application/software engineers in maintaining and enhancing the technical configuration of the NYTimes Enterprise Resource Planning suite. In this role, you will address customer requests, tackle system issues, streamline processes, contribute to projects, and oversee system implementations.

Responsibilities:

  • Directing and overseeing the Enterprise Application Services team, managing project and production service support activities
  • Setting and upholding SaaS application configuration, development, testing, and maintenance standards for the application engineering team
  • Effectively managing project and work plans to ensure timely and within-budget project completion
  • Collaborating with HCM, Financial, and IT counterparts to optimize the functionality of the NYTimes ERP applications
  • Communicating career advancement opportunities to team members and providing necessary support to help them achieve their goals
  • Offering technical leadership, mentoring, and cultivating a culture of accountability, innovation, and teamwork
  • Reporting to the Executive Director of Technology
  • Embracing a hybrid work environment that promotes cross-team collaboration and personal growth

Basic Qualifications:

  • Over 5 years of experience as a software engineer specializing in Enterprise business applications
  • Minimum of 1 year managing engineers with expertise in SaaS systems, various applications, and multiple seniority levels
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Workday, particularly in integration, financial accounting, and HR administration
  • Proficiency in current best practices in application software development
  • Understanding of system controls, security levels, and the importance of precision in financial and HR data

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Coupa
  • Experience working in an Agile Environment

The annual salary range for this position falls between $150,000 and $160,000.
