Responsibilities:

  • Understand and adhere to MasTec Communications Group Health Safety and Environmental Policies (Safety Manual).
  • Understand and comply with Industry standards (OSHA, TIA10-48, NATE CTS, and ANSI).
  • Scale towers and ladders at varying heights.
  • Carry out erection of various tower types.
  • Unload material and inventory.
  • Prepare and maintain sites.
  • Mount new carriers on new build and existing towers.
  • Support in tower erection using helicopters, cranes, and gin poles.
  • Participate in the assembly of monopoles, all weld, knock down self-support, and guyed towers.
  • Aid in the antenna installation of microwave parabolic 1 to 15-foot, VHF, UHF, cellular, and FM broadcast antennas.
  • Support in the transmission line and installation of foam/air dielectric coaxial, hardline, and elliptical waveguide.
  • Help in the installation of all aspects of ell site foundations, grounding, and conduits, with electrical installations where applicable.
  • Act as a mentor to new less experienced technicians.
  • Execute other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • You have a history of completing work with a superior level of quality.
  • You possess the ability to solve complex problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work.
  • You seek extended projects.
  • You relish getting your hands dirty with your team.
  • You hold a High School Degree.
  • You have a minimum of 2 years of tower experience.
  • You can read, understand, and carry out instructions per prints.
  • You have a working knowledge of safety standards and regulations.
  • Possession of a PWSA certification is advantageous.
  • You need the capability to climb towers, lift up to 50 lbs., and work up to 12 hours.
  • You must possess a valid driver's license and a driving record meeting the company policy conditions.
