During our comprehensive training process, you will learn the following responsibilities for the position, which is primarily responsible for daily Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) component monitoring, inventory maintenance and emission reduction repair activities at customer work sites required to comply with Federal, State and/or local fugitive air emission regulations. The selected candidate will be traveling between locations weekly.

  • Daily Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) to detect leaking equipment (valves, pumps, connectors, etc.) which can be a source of emissions and volatile hazardous air pollutants
  • Repair activities at customer work sites required to comply with Federal, State and/or local fugitive air emission regulations.
  • Become proficient in performing Method 21, and other testing and inventory projects
  • Component monitoring, inventory maintenance
  • Monitoring, troubleshooting, calibration of TVA (entering data into handheld & in calibration book)
  • Performing drift assessments (entering data into calibration book)
  • Precision calibrations (performing & documenting proper paperwork)
  • Become proficient in Visually inspecting sewers, drains, etc. for faults that would allow vapors to
    escape.
  • Learn how to perform safety inspections, equipment audits, etc.; regularly monitor the working
    integrity of various tools, such as company vehicles, calibration gases, 4-gas monitors,
    harnesses, personal protective equipment, etc.
  • Become proficient in reviewing Pipe and Industry Diagrams (P&IDs) for changes or possible
    required corrections and updates.
  • Documenting changes (size, type, location, sequence changes)
  • Reporting Audio Visual Olfactory (AVO), Note Plug (NP), & Open-Ended Line (OEL) to Site Supervisor (SS) and Operations
  • Noting Missing Tags (MT) on handheld device and/or reporting large number of Missing Tags (MT) to Site Supervisor (SS)
  • Noting Drill &Taps in handheld device
  • Reporting new or removed components to Site Supervisor (SS)
  • Completing Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
  • Completing daily paperwork (job summary, change forms, retire forms, walk down forms, leak sheets, blue tags, etc.,)

Requirements:

  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening
  • Ability and desire to travel throughout the U.S.
  • Ability to be on your feet for 8-10+ hours per day on uneven ground (concrete, rock, grass, mud/dirt, etc.), while wearing the monitoring backpack (weighing up to 25 lbs.) as well as carry other equipment as needed (ladders, water coolers, etc.)
  • Love being outdoors, working safely in all weather conditions
  • Ability and desire to climb stairs and ladders to high heights (up to 300ft)
  • Ability to understand and use hand-held device, and have some mechanical abilities (preferred)
  • Ability to perform data entry using Alliance software.
  • Complete the Transportation Working Identification Credential (TWIC) program followed by
    verification via a TWIC card.
