  • Technology Selection: Lead the evaluation and selection of key technologies, components, and materials for sensor development. Make informed decisions based on technical feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and market trends.
  • Technical Talent Development: Identify skill gaps within the team and implement strategies for skill development and training. Foster a culture of learning and growth within the engineering department.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about relevant industry regulations and standards. Ensure that sensor development processes adhere to compliance requirements and certifications.
  • Project Management: Effectively manage multiple sensor development projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. This involves resource allocation, risk management, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.

Professional/Technical Experience, Skills and Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, required.
  • Expertise in sensor technologies, signal processing, and relevant domains. A deep understanding of the technical intricacies involved in sensor development, required.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire, develop, and guide a technical team. Effective communication, high-pressure decision-making skills, and conflict resolution are essential, required.
  • Proven capability to develop and execute a strategic vision with a customer-centric mindset including aligning engineering efforts with broader business objectives, anticipating future industry trends and managing complex engineering projects, required.
  • A track record of fostering innovation within engineering and cross functional teams, driving research and development initiatives, implementing creative solutions that comply with industry regulations and standards and offer a robust quality assurance process, required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, required.
  • Eight (8) years of progressive technical engineering experience, required.
