Boeckeler Instruments is seeking a Quality Control and Service Support Specialist to join our team in Tucson, Arizona.

This position is responsible for the quality control and servicing of equipment manufactured for microscopy sample preparation. The ideal candidate will be well versed in sample handling procedures such as ultramicrotomy, and the operation of microtomes or ultramicrotomes.

Key responsibilities

· Conduct quality control testing on electro-mechanical equipment, to the exact specifications outlined in our procedures

· Ensure all outgoing product/equipment perform as expected

· Read and interpret results, and work with Engineering and Production to ensure products are up to spec

· Interact regularly with the Engineering, Applications and Production teams

· Work in an efficient and timely manner, multitasking where necessary

· Complete quality control paperwork as required

· Support the sales organization by doing installations and service visits at customer sites

· Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

· Associates degree or equivalent

· Experience in a role involving technical service or usage of laboratory and research equipment is preferred

· Experience in microscopy sample handling procedures, such as ultramicrotomy or microtomy, is preferred

· Can meet deadlines

· Must be proficient working in Excel and Microsoft suite of applications

· Flexibility to travel within the United States

· Valid driver license

· Must be authorized to live and work in the United States
