JOB SUMMARY:


The On-call DV Responder is responsible for providing face-to face interventions for patients at Grace Medical Center when called for a case involving domestic violence and/or other abuses.

Interventions consist of providing emotional support, safety planning assistance, needs assessment and linkage to resources.

As part of


the Grace Violence Response Team (GVRT), t he On-call DV Responder works with the medical team to ensure safer discharge, documents in the medical record and arranges for the GVRT follow-up as needed.

The On-call Domestic Violence Responder provides coverage as part of a rotation for week-long shifts afterhours and weekends.

Shifts generally run Friday evening beginning at 5 pm through Monday morning at 8am, and each weeknight 5 pm - 8 am through the following Friday morning.

Responders are expected to be able to report to Grace Medical Center for a call within one hour. Responders are paid for on-call shifts and as well as for each case they cover.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:


Ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related field, and have 3 years of experience working with domestic violence, sexual assault or other survivors of abuse.

Dependable transportation is essential.
