summary ResourceMFG is now looking for a Straightener Operator in Armada, MI Shift: 5a-4p Pay: $23/hr Responsibilities Operating a straightening machine and processing steel Inspect and measure parts using precision measuring instruments such as gauges and micrometers Heavy lifting/use of hoists may be required Study prints, work orders and determine product specifications Observe machine operations to detect any problems, making necessary adjustments to correct problems Perform operator level machine maintenance duties Knowledge of machine and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance required-skills: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Straightener Experience in a machine tool and/or Job Shop environment Strong shop math skills Must own their own tools and be willing to purchase tools Experience with steady rests and/or long parts Inspect and verify close tolerances Experience with heat treated materials
