Primary Responsibilities
Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of embedded software projects, from concept to delivery, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, and monitor progress against milestones and deliverables
Coordinate with internal stakeholders; Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, firmware engineers, and product managers to define project requirements and specifications
Design, develop, and optimize embedded software solutions for various applications related to aerospace applications
Identify and mitigate project risks, anticipate challenges, and implement corrective actions to maintain project timelines and budgets
Collaborate with external partners and vendors as needed to integrate third-party components and technologies into embedded software solutions, if required
Conduct feasibility studies, process evaluations, and cost-benefit analyses to support decision-making and project prioritization
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the development process, and actively participate in product certification activities

Update status reports, present project status to customers, and work with LTTS project management to ensure productive and consistent customer communication.

Understand and adhere to all export control regulations.

Travel locally onsite to the customer facility several days per week as needed and comply with all customer site requirements.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other relevant experience considered
7+ year(s) of relevant experience in project engineering of complex projects
Strong understanding of engineering principals and relevant technologies related to the project domain
Ability to plan, execute, and monitor projects from initiation to completion
Knowledge of programming languages commonly used in embedded systems, such as C, C++, and assembly language
Solid understanding of embedded software development tools, debugging techniques, and version control systems
Experience with both real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded Linux platforms
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in embedded systems
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Outstanding customer interfacing skills
Demonstrated leadership abilities
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Qualifications
Proven experience in project management/engineering, preferably in a regulated industry such as aerospace
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
Knowledge of regulatory standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or FDA regulations
An understanding of engineering outsourcing business practices
Experience writing or creating standard work, establishing processes, and documenting lessons learned
