JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Seat and take accurate food orders from guests
- Monitor food distribution, ensuring that meals are delivered to the correct recipients and that food is properly prepared and nicely presented and/or the buffet is appealing.
- Check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
- Must be familiar with all menu items, their preparation and service procedure.
- Total checks, present to guests and accept payment.
- Assist with bussing tables
- Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverage to minors and intoxicated guests.
- Perform various other duties as assigned
- Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year in hotel/restaurant serving role
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally
- Team player
- Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work flexible hours and shifts - nights, weekends and holidays are required
- Knowledge of alcohol serving practices and standards - have or obtain Food Handler Alcohol Awareness certificates
- Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations and etiquette
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Must be able to lift, balance, and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds.
