Detailed Job Description:
  • Prepare and cook meals following set menus and recipes
  • Assist in menu planning and scheduling
  • Maintain quality and safety standards in food preparation
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Take charge in the absence of the Culinary Services Manager
  • Manage departmental budget and inventory
  • Promote positive communication and relationships
  • Respect residents' privacy and confidentiality
  • Participate in community initiatives and fundraising campaigns
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 education or equivalent
  • Diploma from a recognized cooking school
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a culinary establishment
  • Food Safe Certificate
  • Red Seal Certificate preferred
