Job Description
This Electrical Trades Tech will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical equipment in functional area. Additionally, this position will support master electricians in handling extensive projects and carrying out preventive maintenance tasks.
Essential Duties
- Performs specialized trade duties
- Assists with training new staff
- Calibrates equipment
- Fabricates signals and signal components
- Prepares and organizes, equipment, and materials needed for each task
- Participates in section meetings
- Participates on the Safety Committee
- Participates in meetings with park staff
This job is a safety sensitive position that will require a pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug and alcohol testing.
The grade for this position is B21(3). Salary will be dependent on education and experience.
Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma, or G.E.D.
- Two years of trades experience
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
- Valid driver's license

About Gwinnett County

In addition to the executive side of County government, certain services are provided through Constitutional officers and independent elected officials.
