JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Performs high-quality computerized axial tomography procedures within the scope of state licensure at a technical and professional level that does not require direct supervision. Performs appropriate patient evaluation and uses proper technical factors for diagnostic image production.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
The Diagnostic Imaging teams at Samaritan Health Services utilize cutting-edge imaging technology to equip healthcare teams with crucial information for swift and precise diagnoses.
Imaging services include:
- X-Ray
- Fluoroscopy
- Bone Density
- CT Scan
- Digital Mammography
- MRI
- Nuclear Medicine
- Ultrasound services
We now provide PET-CT scans, the most recent advancement in diagnostic imaging technology, empowering physicians with a potent tool for diagnosing and treating various conditions.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current ARRT RT(R) credential required. If registry eligible, credential within six (6) months of hire is required.
- Current ARRT (CT) credential within one (1) year of hire is required.
- Current unencumbered Oregon license in Radiologic Technology is required. For new graduates, a temporary license is necessary upon hire, and a permanent license within six (6) months of hire is mandatory.
- Healthcare Provider BLS certification mandatory.
- Prior experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
