The Coach Experience Manager will lead the team through some of its most ambiguous, complex, and strategic challenges: Network Management, new product solutions, and world-building for our Coach Community.


About the work:

There are three key pillars to the role of Coach Experience Manager:

  • Build business intelligence
  • Product design and launch
  • World building

1. Build business intelligence

  • Understanding the complexities of our 4000+ global Coach network helps us make wiser decisions about how we manage and nourish this population._
What you'll do

  • Partner with Analysts and Data Scientists to understand macroand microtrends that help us raise the bar of excellence for Coaches.
  • Conduct novel research that generates insights for us to action on.
  • Rally multiple stakeholders to drive solutions based on research and analysis.

2. Product design and launch

  • Our product is Platform + People. You'll be responsible for managing the people side of a portfolio of emerging products._
What you'll do

  • Ensure a superior pool of Coaches for seed stage products.
  • Keep participating Coaches informed and equipped during the rapidly shifting seed stage.
  • Surface the most essential coach feedback to influence product iterations.
  • Explore the possibilities of AI to enrich Coach experience and effectiveness.

3. World building

  • We've worked hard to build a sense of connection and belonging in our community, but we're not satisfied. Our aspiration is to ignite a movement that propels our mission into its next horizon._
What you'll do

  • Establish worldbuilding layer on top of our community that helps Coaches feel connected, engaged, and excited about the future we are building
  • Partner with Coach Community Manager to create and execute a microcommunity strategy that gives every coach a feeling of intimacy, while still being just one degree from a trusted BetterUp employee.

  • You have 5+ years of experience in a mission-driven start-up and/or a leading agency grounded in human centered design.
  • You are a strategist and builder, able to assess a wide range of approaches while maintaining a bias toward action.
  • You have a curious mind that anchors to powerful questions and transforms a mere job into an adventure.
  • You push the pace of the work and the team without sacrificing quality.
  • You are well versed in a range of methodologies_ _including, but not limited to: humancentered design, systems thinking, journey mapping, usability and concept testing, and content strategy.
  • You can speak the language of operators, analysts, and engineers. You are also comfortable with data and able to leverage it in decisionmaking.
  • You are an expert workshop designer and facilitator who can command a room and drive toward clarity.
  • You think in frameworks and speak in stories, bringing people along toward a desired outcome.
  • You have expert level agility, able to move from project to project, pivot to pivot, while vacillating easily between the ontheground and 50,000 foot view.
