Description:

  • Collaborate with Development and Process Engineers to drive the creation of adhesive tapes, explore raw material alternatives, and enhance cost efficiencies at the Franklin, KY facility.
  • Lead pilot trials and oversee the transition to full-scale production.

Location: This position is based at the Franklin, KY site.


Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to established Design Control protocols for new product development.
  • Design and conduct experiments, analyze data, and conduct application tests to meet market demands.
  • Conduct trials using various types of adhesives on pilot and production lines.
  • Manage product development projects to align with corporate goals and ensure timely completion.
  • Research and incorporate new raw materials for innovation and cost savings.

Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Chemistry, or related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in adhesive tape or coating design.
  • Proficiency in process control equipment and analytical techniques.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on continuous innovation.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Understanding of chemistry, safety protocols, and laboratory work.
  • Experience in Project Management; PMP certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with statistical methods and programs.
  • Proficient in MS Office for data management and reporting.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
