Job Title: Restaurant Server at XYZ Restaurant
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Welcome and warmly greet guests.
- Create a welcoming environment and demonstrate care for guests.
- Provide information about menu items, beverages, and restaurant services.
- Take food and drink orders and enter them accurately into the system.
- Deliver orders promptly from the kitchen or bar to guests.
- Handle bill payments, process credit cards, and make change as needed.
- Complete assigned tasks at the beginning and end of shifts as requested.
- Ensure guests are satisfied with their dining experience.
- Respond promptly and politely to requests, sharing feedback with managers.
- Support other team members when necessary.
- Complete server training to have a thorough understanding of the menu.
- Participate in Food Runner shifts as required.
- Attend all scheduled team meetings.
Requirements:
- Previous restaurant experience is desirable.
- Ability to follow basic instructions and communicate effectively.
- Capability to handle monetary transactions and operate a POS system.
- Maintain excellent personal hygiene and grooming standards.
- Hold a Food Handler Certification and TABC Certification.
Physical Requirements:
- Regular standing and walking during shifts.
- Occasional bending or kneeling.
- Periodic lifting, carrying, or pushing objects up to 40 pounds.
- Intermittent use of ladders, stairs, or ramps.
- Work in a fast-paced and sometimes noisy environment.
- Regular wrist and spine movement.
- Effective communication skills and clear vision.
