GP Accountant

A growing private equity firm based in Connecticut is looking to hire a talented GP Accountant to join their expanding team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly and quarterly trial balances, financial statements, and supporting work-paper packages
- Collaborate with Fund Accounting and Corporate Accounting teams to ensure accurate treatment of fund-level activity and intercompany transactions
- Assist PMs with executing transactions related to GP balance sheet capital
- Review economic allocations and partner capital account roll-forwards
- Coordinate with external accounting firms for audits and tax reporting
- Calculate contribution and distribution amounts for GP members, including carried interest
- Generate contribution and distribution notices with detailed exhibits
- Manage cash flow by monitoring contributions, distributions, and forecasting liquidity
- Prepare capital account statements and investment schedules
- Support onboarding of new GP members
- Assist in researching third-party allocation tools or developing proprietary solutions
- Automate existing processes and handle various projects affecting GP entities
- Document changes in GP allocation through memos
- 3+ years of experience in Public and/or Private Equity
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Desired Skills:
- Previous experience in Partnership Accounting within a Private Equity Fund
