Job Description:
- Lead or assist in requirements development and management.
- Develop and maintain subsystem and component performance specifications through thorough analysis.
- Manage requirements verification, compliance, and related documents.
- Assist in requirements decomposition analysis to influence concept architectures and system features.
- Oversee architecture development for designated systems, subsystems, and components.
- Manage interface requirements and design information for assigned subsystems, systems, and components.
- Document key design decisions and contribute to System/Subsystem Design Descriptions (SSDDs) and capability assessments.
- Coordinate formal decisions and trade studies, documenting outcomes.
- Support monitoring of cost, schedule, and risk aspects.
- Coordinate Systems Engineering activities to impact design processes.
- Participate in vehicle-level Systems Engineering tasks and program reviews.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with at least six years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in using the DOORS requirements management tool.
- Strong background in systems engineering including requirements analysis, derivation, and allocation.
- Experience in developing architecture concepts and assessing alternatives.
- Ability to balance system design considering various operational, performance, constraints, and logistical factors.
- Skilled in planning, executing, and documenting complex trade studies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Must be a US Citizen.
Desired:
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering with a Master's in Systems Engineering.
- Experience with military vehicle systems.
- Knowledge of logical architecture, including use case development.
- Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and tools like Cameo.
- Understanding of Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF).
- INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification.
- Experience in leadership and mentorship of junior engineers.
