The Young Advocates Program, under Young Invincibles (YI), is dedicated to amplifying the voices of young adults in the political realm and enhancing economic opportunities for our generation. YI focuses on nurturing and empowering brave young leaders who are driving economic justice, reshaping narratives that fuel systemic inequality, and advocating for policy reforms to enhance accessibility to higher education, expand healthcare coverage, and secure quality employment.
Young Advocates collaborate with YI's regional offices in California, Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Texas to bolster the representation of young people across various issue domains. This program offers a valuable chance for individuals aged 18 to 34 to refine skills, acquire expertise in advocacy and public policy practices, and enhance their overall professional prowess. Our Young Advocates are deeply committed to YI's mission and are dedicated to empowering young adults to bring about positive transformations in their communities.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Advocates will receive training on community organizing, policy advocacy, strategic communications, and the key issue areas through weekly meetings. Additionally, participants will engage in activities like policy research, surveys, legislative meetings, advocacy efforts, event planning, and digital content creation. These activities will be completed outside the regular training hours.
TIME COMMITMENT
Young Advocates will meet weekly for virtual sessions, attend special workshops, in-person events, virtual one-on-one meetings with program staff, and complete skill-building assignments between sessions.

Compensation
Advocates will receive payment per hour for training and project work, with a weekly commitment of 6-10 hours.
