Enterprise Data Governance:

  • Utilizing analytical skills, business acumen, and technical know-how to support data governance roadmap activities and document process flows.

This position, based in Foster City, CA, requires adept execution capabilities and reports to the Staff Program Manager for Enterprise Data Governance (EDG).


Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the EDG Staff Program Manager as required
  • Demonstrate adaptability in ambiguous scenarios
  • Manage assignments/projects in Enterprise Data Management and Governance under EDG Staff Program Manager's guidance
  • Enable data stewardship, governance, and comply with regulatory laws such as CCPA, Nevada Privacy Act, GDPR, and more
  • Define data management policies, standards, and controls
  • Contribute to initiatives like Data Quality management, Metadata management, and others
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, roadmaps, and reports
  • Communicate project information effectively to senior management and project teams
  • Provide guidance to project teams and business users
  • Support the design of innovative solutions aligned with informational architecture
  • Establish and implement data governance framework following industry best practices
  • Facilitate meetings, create presentations, and training materials
  • Manage project expectations and success criteria with stakeholders

Qualifications:
  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree
  • 8-12 years' experience in Data Governance Business Analysis in a scaled organization, preferably in automotive/transportation or similar industries
  • Understanding of data governance framework and best practices
  • Proficiency in data management tools like IBM IGC, Talend Data Catalog, Collibra, etc.
  • Relevant industry certifications and credentials
  • Global regulatory compliance experience with laws such as CCPA, GDPR, etc.
  • Proficiency in Google and MS Office applications
  • Basic SQL knowledge is beneficial

Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Strong organization, analytical, and time management skills
  • Problem-solving ability with business analysis experience
  • Capacity to work under pressure and collaborate effectively
  • Independence and team collaboration
