Responsibilities:
- Apply payment data accurately to customer accounts
- Efficiently pursue payment on overdue accounts through communication with clients
- Maintain a detailed log of payment commitments and account specifics; organize follow-up interactions
- Evaluate and validate credit applications, including verifying references
- Provide recommendations and establish credit limits based on payment record and set standards
- Consult with managers for credit requests exceeding defined limits
- Regularly review transactions and update account statuses according to set guidelines
- Monitor accounts receivable and cash receipt reports proactively
- Conduct thorough analysis of bad debts
- Handle billing and reporting duties efficiently to meet set deadlines
- Generate daily and monthly journal entries
- Manage customer setups and liaise with financial institutions regarding new accounts/approvals
- Prepare weekly cash forecasts for managed clients
- Provide support to the accounting team during year-end processes
