Salary: Base salary plus commission
Overview:
- Manage and expand the assigned territory, identifying opportunities and managing accounts in the building automation department. Ensure solutions provided align with project requirements, standards, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Identify and propose bid opportunities, lead bid preparation and customer negotiations. Maintain clear communication throughout the sales process and perform necessary project estimations.
- Understand the technical and financial aspects of customer needs and forecast upcoming opportunities. Obtain purchase orders based on provided quotations.
- Acquire knowledge of utility incentive programs to maximize customer benefits. Conduct on-site assessments and recommend retrofits or enhancements.
- Generate high sales activity to manage the pipeline effectively from lead generation to closure.
Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of construction/HVAC industry, automatic temperature controls, and building automation systems.
- Basic understanding of mechanical HVAC/plumbing building systems.
- Demonstrate initiative, strong interpersonal skills, ability to handle various situations, and work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to interpret project specifications and blueprint drawings.
- Passion for working in a fast-paced energy services company.
- Must work efficiently with limited supervision.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field; or equivalent industry experience.
- 1-3 years of successful sales experience in HVAC or building automation systems.
- Proficiency in business tools such as Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
- Full-time availability and a valid driver's license for local travel.
