Project Overview: This role plays a crucial part in the history of space exploration, demanding your dedication and meticulous attention for safe and consistent space travel. As a member of a skilled and diverse team, you will assist in the planning, development, and production of space launch vehicles and parts to support human spaceflight programs. This hands-on position requires excellent communication, organization, planning, and inventory skills. We seek someone who can leverage their technical expertise, leadership abilities, and dedication to quality to positively impact safe human space travel. A strong passion for our mission and vision is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in establishing an effective materials management process, covering material purchasing, handling, storage, control, and distribution of MRO inventory.
  • Identify critical spare parts in inventory and ensure proper labeling.
  • Conduct cycle and annual inventory counts following the schedule. Resolve discrepancies in counts.
  • Prepare parts kits for work orders, including physically retrieving, packaging, labeling, and documenting parts from inventory.
  • Inspect and process parts returning to inventory from work orders.
  • Generate and manage purchase requisitions and orders as necessary.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Purchasing teams to address procurement and quality issues. Monitor returns with the purchasing team (e.g., warranty, RMA).
  • Develop, monitor, and report material management KPIs for performance tracking.
  • Ensure proper charging out of all materials and tools.
  • Efficiently locate and distribute correct parts to production or maintenance staff.
  • Monitor and manage all products and supplies, maintaining organized stock and assisting with deliveries.
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas adhering to company policies and industry standards (5S).
  • Create purchase orders for parts and equipment.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 2-5+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in Office Suite and familiarity with Inventory software (preferred experience with Maximo).
  • Ability to build trust, foster positive professional relationships, and enhance our inclusive culture.
  • Must hold U.S. Citizenship or be a U.S. National, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder), or have lawful entry to the U.S. as a Refugee or through asylum.

Education

Desired Education: B.S. or B.A. degree in a relevant field preferred.
