About the company and opportunity:
Our client is a construction company that is family-founded & takes great pride equally in their relationship-building as well as the quality of their work product.
Overview of the Accounts Payable Specialist Role:
Process high volume invoices against subcontracts, purchase orders, and overhead invoices.
Reconcile statements, some of which may be 10+ pages long.
Assist with email communications and accurately enter invoices into the system.
Conduct research to resolve discrepancies in invoices and statements.
Collaborate with subcontractors and contractors to ensure timely processing.
Follow up with contractors regarding outstanding invoices and payment statuses.
Preferred qualifications of the Accounts Payable Specialist:
Prior experience with full-cycle Accounts Payable
Experience in construction industry a huge plus
Tax knowledge is beneficial.
Prior experience in subcontract or construction accounting is preferred.
This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
