Job Summary

The Project Manager role is responsible for understanding, coordinating, and driving results from projects assigned to. The Project Manager must be an open and professional communicator and capable of presenting up and down the organization, with implementation partner and clients as needed

It is incumbent on the project manager to collaborate across business, partners and technology disciplines involved on assigned projects to gain buy in, approval and accountability to dates, budgets and milestones.

The right candidate will have technical depth to understand the implications of solutions under their project management and provide the discipline and process needed to deliver projects without risking data quality or security and while maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the overall ASM Global technology eco-system.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Communication:
  • Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
  • Communicating with executives or the board to keep the project aligned with their goals
  • Communicating across projects
  • Managing and escalating project status changes
Business
  • Work closely with relevant business teams to understand their approved goals for the project and help drive outcomes to meet those goals
  • Understand and communicate needs for integrations, manage creation & approval of document requirements
  • Manage the project delivery site with up to date schedules, approved financials, decision logs, risk register, requirements and other project related documents
  • Support the business teams on assigned projects.
  • Ensure requirements are defined, reviewed, and agreed upon between IT and the business leads/project teams
  • Communicate regularly with the client/project team to ensure expectations are aligned.
Process Management
  • Regularly assess current state and proactively identify areas of opportunity for improvement.
  • Serve as an escalation point and lead for improvements.
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
Project Management
  • Serve as lead subject matter expert and act as a key resource for assigned projects.
  • Identifies, escalates key issues, risks, roadblocks in delivering customer solutions.
  • Work with project teams on completeness of plans related to new projects.
  • Coordinate business teams for the development of User Acceptance Test scenarios and scripts
  • Determine and define project scope and objectives
  • Predict resources, load resource maps and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
  • Prepare and manage budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
  • Track project costs in order to meet budget
  • Manage invoice purchase order and invoice approval cycle for project related items
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
  • Manage contracts and relationships with partners and suppliers, assign tasks, escalate, synthesize project plans as needed
  • Be the company project SME and leverage industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
Education and Experience Profile
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience in business or technology-related field.
  • 4+ years of technology project management experience.
Desired Experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of Finance and Operations departments
  • Working knowledge of HR and payroll departments
  • Experience with enterprise financial and HCM systems
  • Experience with POS & Event Booking
