Responsibilities:


In keeping with Dignity Health healthcare philosophy and core values under the direction of the Director of Health Information the Health Information Tech is responsible for obtaining discharged patient records handling requests for medical records completion of birth certificates prep/scan/QC/validation/analysis of out-patient emergency inpatient and same day care and providing service to all customers as needed.



Qualifications:

Minimum

Qualifications:

Medical record experience.

Proficiency with 10-key and ability to type 40 wpm.

Knowledge of HIPAA laws regarding release of information.

Computer knowledge required.

High School graduate or equivalent.

Able to handle fast-paced work environment. Able to adapt to changes quickly.

Preferred

Qualifications:

Completion of Medical Terminology Course preferred.
