REPORTS TOVP of Finance

QUALIFICATIONS

Four-year college degree in Accounting/Finance. CPA Preferred, not required.
  1. Minimum 4 years' experience in accounting field, Healthcare experience preferred.
  2. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, strong Excel skills.
  3. Proficient with windows based general ledger software. Great Plains preferred.
  4. Experience with financial statement preparation.
  5. Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Extremely self-motivated and demonstrates initiative.
  7. Familiar with standard accounting concepts, practices, and procedures.
Specific Responsibilities and Duties
  1. Performs daily accounting activities to maintain general ledger and prepare financial reports.
  2. Performs various accounting functions to provide financial and statistical information to appropriate parties.
  3. Performs detail analysis of A/R ledger accounts to ensure revenue accuracy.
  4. Audits various expense accounts on the Balance Sheet & Income Statement for timeliness & accuracy.
  5. Integrates private practice acquisitions. Must be comfortable reviewing purchase agreements, working in different EMR's, and cash to accrual conversions.
  6. Works with Billing Department/Revenue Cycle Management on monthly payment reconciliations.
  7. Reconciles all bank statements each month.
  8. Works closely with VP of Finance.
