As the Benefits Manager in collaboration with the HR Director, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all benefit programs for our team members at ONE. These programs encompass medical, dental, and vision coverage, employee wellness initiatives, assistance programs, retirement plans, and leave policies, among others. Your role will involve a wide array of tasks ranging from planning and organization to claims review, contract management, financial coordination, and budget management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer benefits programs daily, handling enrollment, verifying eligibility, and managing employee changes and terminations
- Act as the main liaison with benefit vendors, maintaining relationships, addressing issues, and overseeing vendor performance
- Deliver recommendations on benefit programs based on thorough analysis of employee needs, trends, and evolving standards in benefits across industries
- Lead annual open enrollment activities, including updates in plan design, communication strategies, and employee educational sessions
- Support management decisions by examining benefit options, forecasting future expenses, and providing insights
- Analyze benefit expenses, usage patterns, and demographic data to evaluate program efficiency and identify opportunities for cost management and optimization
- Ensure compliance with legal regulations at federal, state, and local levels by staying abreast of laws, like ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and FMLA
- Produce reports by gathering and summarizing data and trends
- Collaborate with leadership and HR teams to evaluate existing benefits and suggest enhancements or expansions
- Coordinate wellness initiatives, workshops, and events
- Perform other assigned duties
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Bring 3-5 years of experience in benefits administration or a related HR role
- Demonstrate solid knowledge of benefit regulations, compliance standards, and industry trends
- Have experience in managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts
- Show excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Exhibit an ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
- Show strong organizational and project management abilities
- Possess Certified Employees Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) qualifications (preferred)
- Display exceptional verbal, written, and attention to detail skills
Physical Requirements
- Engage in prolonged desk work in a cubicle environment, involving computer usage (constant noise, fluorescent overhead lighting)
