Our client is looking for an experienced Power BI Engineer to join our government client. This team utilizes monitoring to help internal users gain insights to performance of various tools within their environment with the end goal of creating an optimal user experience.

You will be owning the data reporting, cleaning, and visualization using Power BI. An ideal candidate will have front end Power BI application experience and be able to assist in all areas of building reports for leadership.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, or similar field or equivalent work experience.
• At least 3 relevant years of experience in dashboard development (Power BI is preferred, but Tableau is also accepted).
• Experience utilizing DAX to create measures for visualizations in Power BI.
• Experience with Power Query.
• Demonstrated strong teamwork skills with self-motivation to achieve success in a rapidly evolving environment.
• Excellent communications skills; able to effectively communicate highly technical information in nontechnical terminology (written and verbal).

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop high-performance data visualizations, reports, and dashboards utilizing Power BI.
• Collaborate with the Analytics team members and utility stakeholders to create Power BI solutions.
• Collaborate with team and stakeholders to ensure business requirements are being met.
• Evaluate and improve existing Power BI reports and processes.
• Configure data intake using Power Query and its formula language M.
• Utilize DAX to create Measures for visualizations in Power BI.
• Work with Data Engineer to understand data sets for dashboard creation.
• Creating visually appealing dashboards for business stakeholders.
• Performs assignments while acting independently and may lead multi-discipline teams.
• Provides recommendations and implements action plans to improve performance and cost effectiveness.
