Your Mission:
As a Radiation Treatment Planning Specialist, you'll be at the forefront of cancer treatment, designing and optimizing advanced radiation plans. Your work will ensure the highest standards of safety and efficacy for both patients and staff. You'll also have opportunities to engage in clinical research and educational initiatives, driving innovation in oncology.
What You'll Do:
- Innovate and Optimize: Design precise radiation treatment plans using state-of-the-art equipment and techniques.
- Ensure Excellence: Oversee the calibration and maintenance of all radiation treatment equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Lead and Mentor: Provide technical direction and mentorship to junior physicists and support staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Collaborate and Consult: Work closely with physicians to tailor treatment plans, ensuring every patient's needs are met with the highest level of care.
- Drive Quality: Develop and implement quality management programs, and conduct regular evaluations to uphold the highest standards in radiation therapy.
- Document and Maintain: Keep detailed records of all treatment plans, equipment calibrations, and quality assurance procedures.
What You Bring:
- Expertise and Certification: A Master's degree in Physics or Medical Physics, along with 3-5 years of experience in clinical radiation physics. Current certification by the American Board of Radiology or Board of Medical Physics is required, with a commitment to ongoing education and certification maintenance.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using treatment-planning computers and related software, with the ability to lift and maneuver equipment as needed.
- Vision and Attention to Detail: Excellent visual acuity and attention to detail to ensure precise treatment delivery.
