Supply Chain Engineer to optimize and streamline our supply chain processes to ensure efficient and timely delivery of our medical devices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, logistics, and engineering, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation. This position will report directly to the Supply Chain Manager.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, procurement, quality assurance, and distribution to develop and implement supply chain strategies.
  • Analyze supply chain data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and cost optimization. Own COGs analysis for the supply chain group.
  • Design and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize inventory levels while ensuring product quality and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier performance. Work cross functionally with key stakeholders on vendor selection.
  • Lead projects to optimize transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes to meet customer demands and market trends.
  • Own the reverse logistics pathway for repair and RMA materials. Update/maintain cost model for repair processes.
  • Utilize engineering principles and tools to design and implement packaging solutions that optimize product protection, minimize waste, and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with R&D and product development teams to ensure seamless transition of new products into production and supply chain operations. Assist with tolerance analysis and vendor capability discussions.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to resolve supply chain-related issues and challenges.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices in supply chain management and logistics.
  • Document step-by-step procedures for supply chain processes.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the supply chain organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or engineering roles, preferably in the medical device or healthcare industry.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing methodologies, DFA/DFM, and tolerancing.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data and identify actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in supply chain software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, MRP systems, supply chain analytics).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.
  • Project management experience with the ability to lead cross-functional projects from initiation to completion.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards applicable to medical device manufacturing (e.g., FDA regulations, ISO standards) is a plus.
  • Six Sigma, Lean, or other process improvement certifications are desirable.
  • Advanced computer skills with a higher level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
