Sales Engineer for the Southwest US Territory:

We understand that you aspire to succeed both professionally and personally, and we are committed to aligning our business objectives with your individual goals. This Sales Engineer role involves boosting sales of our aftermarket mining product line in the designated USA/Canadian territory.
As an individual contributor, you will work within our team's "pod" structure reporting to the Director of Sales for the Southwest Region.
Your responsibilities
- Organize sales calls and meetings with customers to promote our aftermarket parts, rebuilds & modernizations, and services portfolio.
- Act as the main point of contact for customers, fostering strong relationships founded on exceptional customer service.
- Formulate and execute sales strategies to enhance market share; create value propositions and ROI to distinguish FLSmidth.
- Provide pre and post-sales technical support and product training.
- Collaborate with internal teams to maximize sales opportunities and prepare proposals.
- Visit installation sites to advise customers on equipment operations, replacement needs, and upcoming work scopes.
- Create detailed account plans for key clients.
- Manage expenses within the regional budget targets while adhering to specified budget guidelines.
- Maintain regular entries and updates in the CRM application, including contacts, appointments, and opportunities.
What you bring
- B.S. degree in Engineering or equivalent experience and a minimum of 4 years selling in the mining industry.
- Must have prior experience in the mining equipment industry, proficiency in reading technical drawings, manuals, and parts lists.
- Proactive with excellent communication & presentation skills, and a strong aptitude for problem-solving.
- Willingness to travel, with 70% of time dedicated to visiting customers' mining, chemical, pulp/paper, power, and oil/gas facilities. Travel is mainly by company-provided vehicle.
- Location can be anywhere in Arizona.
- Territory coverage includes select accounts in AZ, NM, CO, and CA.
- Main focus on supporting key accounts in primary mining territories and related industries in the mentioned states.
- Direct involvement and knowledge of these markets in the region, along with other industrial plants, are advantageous.
