Trimble is seeking an experienced program manager to join the Trimble Military and Advanced Systems (TMAS) team to support the management of several significant multi-million dollar next generation Military GPS M-Code development programs. The role requires managing schedule and internal and external coordination in the support of program execution. The position reports directly to the Director of Program Management.

What You Will Do
  • Collaborate closely with the PM team to provide leadership and guidance to all external and internal stakeholders to bring this high performance airborne product to market.
  • Assist in the management of development programs from initiation, contract award, transition, execution, growth and decrement, and contract close out.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, government leadership, managers and employees enabling enhanced communication around all activities.
  • Manages and communicates ongoing changes in tasks, goals or performance as the key liaison between multiple external and internal stakeholders.
  • Managing these key stakeholders will require frequent interaction and occasional travel.
  • Bring the voice of the customer to internal stakeholders with the ability to influence and communicate effectively to senior internal and external leadership.
  • Drive collaboration and communication of cross functional, distributed teams.
  • Act as the catalyst to resolve program challenges and conflicts by bringing key stakeholders together with focused objectives.
  • Use personal leadership skills to include others ideas and perspectives in achieving organizational objectives.
  • Assist in managing the overall responsibility for the program's quality and efficiency, encompassing technical matters and business processes.
  • Track progress of all product development OKRs and metrics. Identify potential issues, recommend resolution and prioritization.
  • Review and support the generation of program deliverables to ensure quality and adherence to internal and customer expectations.
  • Develop and continuously enhance processes to improve the team's execution of new product introduction and software development programs.
What Skills & Experience You Should Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or management (MS preferred), plus a minimum of 4+ years of directly relevant experience in project/program management.
  • Experience managing relationships with customers and other stakeholders required.
  • Demonstrated performance of successfully managing complex projects on schedule and within budget preferred.
  • Experience in project tracking required, proficiency in MS Project preferred.
  • Candidate must be a team player with strong, collaborative skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to manage internal and external project elements simultaneously required.
  • Proactive, self-starter attitude required.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams, coordinating staff and internal resources required.
  • A working knowledge of development processes (DO-178b, DO-254, CMMI, etc), and test methodologies preferred.
  • Familiarity with GPS is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are required.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance is required.
  • Job requires occasional travel to support customer meetings, reviews and test events.
  • Experience with MS Project, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word required.
