**Job Description**

**SUMMARY:** The Event Specialist will be responsible for the planning, management, communication and organization of multiple events and the effective utilization and coordination of the resources necessary to promote products of the Syntegon Food business at tradeshows and conferences in North America and Mexico.

**Essential Functions:**

*The basic functional objectives include:*

Ensure the efficient application and use of resources for the promotion of products at trade shows, conferences and symposia

Organize in-house shows, hybrid events and webinars

Align with Senior Marketing Manager / Head of Marketing Food North America and co-develop a marketing plan for a cohesive uniform message to our customers

Manage day-to-day development, production, budgets, and vendor relationships for assigned projects and measure KPIs

*Primary activities and responsibilities include:*

Ensure the Corporate Design in all event formats

Steer US based booth building and event vendors

Manage multiple events simultaneously, keeping projects organized and key stakeholders informed

Evaluate, select, and plan events based on target audiences

Create experiences to engage our audience

Keep teammates informed before, during, and after events including promotions and pre-event communications, event logistics, and relevant post-event follow-up with attendees and teammates

Host community webinars to engage and educate customers

Host public webinars to reach and engage prospects

Coordinate event sponsorships and involvement with relevant professional associations

Maintain an event calendar and manage internal communications about events

Manage event applications and tools including BigMarker, Hubspot, Microsoft Dynamics, Entergon

Travel to trade shows, conferences, North American production sites up to 50% of time which requires valid Driver's License

**Qualifications**

**BASIC REQUIREMENTS:**

Must possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university

Must have at least 5+ years of event and trade show planning experience

Must have a minimum of 3+ years of vendor management and contract negotiation experience

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:**

Experience in supervising trade shows in a B2B environment with up to 50 booth personnel and 10,000 square feet booth space including machine exhibits

Experience in digital and hybrid event formats, e.g. webinars, online machine demonstrations

Detail-oriented and strategically minded with the ability to prioritize to achieve goals

Strong project management abilities in a face-paced and sometimes fluid environment

Positive attitude and a strong work ethic

Customer-focused

Excellent organizational skills

Knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
