Job Title: New Patient Coordinator at University Cancer Specialists


University Physicians' Association is looking for an experienced individual to join their team as a New Patient Coordinator at University Cancer Specialists.


Job Type: Full-time, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm


New Patient Coordinator Duties:

  • Monitor incoming referrals through fax, email, and telephone
  • Input accurate information into our EMR system for new and existing patients
  • Regularly communicate with physicians, nurse practitioners, RNs, patients, and referring offices
  • Handle sensitive information while complying with HIPAA rules
  • Collect and verify all necessary paperwork
  • Understand practice policies and accepted insurances
  • Follow up with referring offices to gather missing information
  • Contact referred patients for any required details
  • Schedule appointments and notify patients/referring offices
  • Maintain a detailed log of incoming referrals
  • Assist with incoming phone calls when operators are occupied
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements:
