We are collaborating with a local civil engineering firm to identify experienced senior engineers who are licensed to work on Private Site projects or Public Works.

This firm specializes in consulting engineering and surveying, delivering high-quality professional services to various entities such as cities, villages, counties, townships, ODOT, and other governmental agencies.


As a senior engineer, you will play a key role within a design team led by the Project Manager, focusing on creating private site and public works development plans. Your responsibilities will involve designing and developing these plans in CAD, along with performing necessary engineering calculations.

You will contribute to projects starting from the conceptual stage, progressing through initial planning submissions and final design, and offering post-design guidance as required.


Key responsibilities include:
- Site grading, storm sewer, and stormwater management design with associated calculations.
- Designing public and private utilities such as water and sewer mains, as well as conducting sanitary sewer capacity calculations.
- Designing low-speed/urban roadways and parking lots.
- Developing plan notes and details.
- Coordinating design activities with clients, as well as their architectural and MEP consultants.
- Engaging in utility and stakeholder coordination and outreach efforts.
- Ensuring compliance of site design with local, state, and federal regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-Accredited Institution.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer in Ohio or eligibility to obtain registration within 6 months.
- 4+ years of mandatory experience (10+ years preferred) in site design, development, and permitting.
- Proficiency in CAD software is a must, with a strong preference for experience in Microstation software. Knowledge of 3D site/utility modeling suites is desirable.
- Strong preference for expertise in stormwater modeling, ideally with prior experience using HydroCAD.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead tasks and offer guidance to colleagues.
