Essential Functions and Basic Responsibilities:

  • Assist with coordinating, preparing, and conducting new employee onboarding and training programs to staff at all levels of the organization, both in person and via virtual platforms. Delivers new employee, sales and service technique, and product and service training.
  • Assists with the identification of additional training needs and design of support materials including audiovisual aids, webinars, computer presentations, manuals, workbooks, and scripts. Maintains training library resources and distributes materials to managers and team members as needed.
  • Serves as an expert on the systems and equipment used by retail employees (Symitar/ITC/TCR).
  • Responsible for being knowledgeable of, and ensuring that, Service Standards and company Values, as defined and established by the Credit Union, are actively pursued and routinely achieved in the daytoday performance of job duties.
  • Maintain a calendar of employee training events and notify management of those that have not been completed.
  • Collaborate with managers regarding employee performance; develop process for retraining, as needed. Regularly surveys staff and management to identify training needs and/or "gaps".
  • Collaborate with management and employees of all departments to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies to maintain a culture of consistency across the credit union
  • Assist management in addressing Credit Union training and development needs. Conducts research and analysis to assess training needs and seek new tools to support organizational objectives and goals.
  • Stay abreast of and update training content to ensure accuracy and compliance with HFCU's procedures and policy changes.
  • Answer questions from staff and educate them in the utilization of other available resources for information, including assisting staff in interpreting policies and procedures as they relate to training issues.
  • Maintain effective communication and coordination with management. Keep management well informed of training activities and of any significant problems. Complete required reports, records, and other documentation. Attends and participates in trainings, meetings and committees as required.

Required Education and Job Competencies

  • Minimum of a High School education, however a Bachelor's degree in a related Human Resources preferred. Previous Teller experience and/or previous experience in a training function is a plus.
  • Excellent computer knowledge and experience with Microsoft 365 required. Experience with financial institution software systems preferred.
  • Selfmotivated problem solver that is able to think strategically and creatively when developing learning plans and training programs.
  • Aptitude to achieve a high level of mastery and confidence working with virtual classroom platforms (i.e.,Teams, Zoom)
  • Ability to manage the features of the virtual platform (chat, screen sharing, breakout rooms, whiteboards, etc.) during the session to provide a seamless experience for both the speaker and participants.
  • Provide timely instructions and technical support to participants with platform issues.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others to identify, recommend, and implement opportunities for increased efficiency.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to present training materials to a group as well as oneon one. Ability to instruct and coach others with confidence. Good writing communication skills and ability
