The Trainer - Combo is responsible for identifying the educational needs of the large and small store team members, developing formal educational or training programs or classes, and teaching or instructing others.


What your day will look like:

  • Assures that the employees get the training needed to meet the day-to-day activities and the long-term planning
  • Plans, develops, and provides sales training and staff development programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, onthejob training, meetings, conferences, and workshops
  • Works closely with the sales department supervisors to identify sales training needs and develops plans that will meet the training needs
  • Provides the materials and resources that motivates personnel to learn
  • Develops training status report for Manager
  • Develops improved methods to meet training and organizational needs
  • Ensures that employees participate in sales training and that training meets the organizational needs.
  • Analyzes training needs to recommend new sales training programs or modify and improve existing programs.
  • Conduct or arrange for ongoing training and personal development as needed
  • Organize sales training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials in addition to testing and evaluation procedures
  • Provide remedial driver training following any driving infractions as needed
  • Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management

What you need to succeed:

  • Minimum age 21 years old
  • Valid Class A Commercal driver's license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
  • Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
  • Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
  • Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from fouryear College or university; or 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Beverage and consumer packaged goods experience preferred
  • Training Needs Analysis, evaluation, and transfer of learning
  • Facilitation of instructorled and selfpaced learning
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand
  • Ability to brainstorm and innovative problemsolving skills
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Repeated Keyboarding/typing and sitting
