Job Title: Registered Nurse Medical/Surgical
Summary: The RN plays a crucial role as part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for providing patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation processes. They ensure quality nursing care, collaborate with other professionals, and support the mission of providing physical and psychological support to patients and families.
Essential Job Functions:
- Establish goals and strategies for patient care needs
- Complete patient assessments and maintain care plans
- Administer medications safely and provide patient education
- Act as a point of contact for care coordination
- Advocate for patient safety and support spiritual care
Licensing/Certification:
- Current RN license in state or under compact
- BLS Basic Life Support preferred
- ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred
- Various nursing certifications preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
Skills:
- Assign patient care based on staff skill and knowledge
- Provide education and learning experiences
- Deliver evidence-based patient care
- Assess and prioritize patient care plans
