The Production Control Manager manages the day-to-day tactical production control planning, scheduling, flow of materials, and monitoring to achieve goals and objectives for delivery dates, output quality, volume, cost, and optimization. Oversees scheduling and the development of methods to allocate and control resources and materials effectively. The production control manager establishes monitoring tools and processes to identify and plan for problems with waste, inefficiencies, and inventory in production operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Creates and monitor customer expedites on a daily basis and make sure items make it on the afternoon trucks for departure.
- Report out daily in Tier 3 meeting.
- Daily use of the MRP system to organize and close out expedited work orders.
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining an organized system of information.
- Ability to learn MRP software.
- Understands mathematical and numerical part numbers for multiple product lines.
- Ability to read and understand written SOP's or instructions.
- Complete documentation with a high degree of accuracy and consistency.
- Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering approved budgets.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or similar degree.
- Require 5 years' experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
- 1-3 years of supervision experience
- 1-3 years' experience in JD Edwards software. Gains Software is a plus.
